Obamunism and automation

If you had any doubt that Barack Obama, the increasingly perfect King of the United States, has no shame about insulting the intelligence of Americans, destroying the U.S. job market, driving our country into bankruptcy through wasteful spending, non-existent job creation, and then lying through his teeth about it, consider his latest crack (June 14, 2011):

"There are some structural issues with our economy where a lot of businesses have learned to become much more efficient with a lot fewer workers. You see it when you go to a bank and you use an ATM, you don't go to a bank teller, or you go to the airport and you're using a kiosk instead of checking in at the gate."

If you needed any more proof that Barack Obama is a Marxist-socialist-idealist-Utopian, you now have it.

As far as lying through his teeth and saying what sounds good for a particular audience, consider that the newly "immaculated" King Obama said in February, 2009 in a low-brow slap at President George W. Bush, that his new regime needed to “change the posture of our federal government from being one of the most anti-science administrations in American history to one that embraces science and technology.”

However, Bob Davis and Amy Chozick of the Wall Street Journal quoted Obama in June of 2008 as saying that "globalization and technology and automation all weaken the position of workers," which is consistent with his philosophy of government redistribution of wealth, massive government spending, government-rationed health care, etc.  This is part of Marxism's central tenets, explained by, amongst others, the great Dr. Thomas Sowell in his excellent and approachable book Basic Economics, and by the late Henry Hazlitt in his 1946 book Economics in One Lesson.

The lesson for everyone to learn is that if you want to have a good job market, a solid economy, fiscal responsibility by the government, and if you want to reduce the number of perverts and slimeballs in elected office, the solution is simple:

Don't vote for Democrats.

We, our children, and their children's great-great grandchildren will thank you.
